We’ve been looking for a way to build the community of divers, by having some regular dive events, particularly over the winter months. We know how hard it is to drag yourself out to practice skills, so we thought we’d help you out. It’s called “First Saturdays”. The idea is that we give you the opportunity for some focused coaching sessions. They will be held once a month and on the first Saturday of the month. Unless it’s on the second Saturday, which might happen on occasion. But we won’t change the name because that would be silly.
On the menu would be things like provisional-rec-tech upgrades for those of you who have taken GUE Fundamentals. We will offer stage handling if you need a recap. Line-laying, SMB deployment, rescue skills, and DPV try-outs are also on the menu. If there’s something you want to work on, or just get a day of focused attention, then just let us know.
You don’t need to be a GUE diver, or even to have worked with us before. It’s open to all comers.
